Why do we need your explicit consent to use them?

The judgment of the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union, dated October 1, 2019, must be interpreted as meaning that consent is not validly given when the storage of information, or access to information already stored on the terminal equipment of the user of an internet website, through cookies is authorized by means of a box marked by default from which the user must uncheck if he wants to reject its use.
